Dr. Elizabeth McBride grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, and earned her bachelor’s degree in biology and Doctor of Medicine degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She went on to complete her orthopaedic surgery residency and hand surgery fellowship at Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital. Dr. McBride was drawn to orthopaedic surgery because of the positive impact it has on an individual’s quality of life through both non-operative and operative treatments. Her goal is to help individuals successfully return to work and the hobbies they enjoy.

Throughout her training, Dr. McBride published academic articles in orthopaedic hand journals and presented her research at regional and national orthopaedic surgery conferences. She is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.

Dr. McBride enjoys exploring the beautiful outdoors of East Tennessee with her husband, Dr. Jonathan McBride, their son, Harrison, and their Labrador retriever, Jessie.
