His sub-specialty interests included total joint replacement with a special interest in muscle sparing knee replacement and anterior hip replacement. He also has a specialty training in the arthoroscopic treatment of complex sports injuries of the shoulder, knee, and hip.
Dr. Asbury is extensively involved in improving the quality of orthopaedic care locally. He has served as the Medical Director of the the Total Hip and Knee Replacement Center of Excellence since that distinction was awarded to Blount Memorial in 2012 by the Joint Commission. He is also serving as the Vice Chief of the Department of Surgery.
Dr. Asbury loves spending time with his two boys, Landon and Cooper. He also calls himself an avid sports fan, and in his leisure time enjoys UT sports, particularly football and basketball.
